Going postal

Wow. Hell on earth if I ever saw it.

Ok, this has been bothering me for a while and I needed an outlet to express my frustration, so here goes.

Have you ever seen that commercial for stamps.com where all these people are sitting in their places of business and talking to the camera about how great it is to just print postage off your computer so you don’t have to go to the post office?

And in that commercial do you remember the guy who says, “There’s nothing worse than going to the post office and waiting in line”?

Really, guy in the funky office with the photograph of a convertible behind you? There’s really NOTHING WORSE than standing in line at the post office?!?

I don’t know, I could think of maybe ONE thing that’s worse than that. How about, let me see, having to flee your country to avoid being a victim of GENOCIDE?!? Yeah, I guess that’s only kind of annoying. Waiting in line at the post office is WAY worse.

I could have maybe understood your point of view a few years ago when my kid was a toddler and had the worst tantrum of his young life in the middle of the post office while I was waiting in line and I couldn’t leave because it was almost my turn and then all I had endured over the previous 15 minutes would have been for naught.

Man in the funky office, have you ever stood in line with a toddler? Had to abandon your home in the dead of night to avoid being shot? Yeah, then I suggest you shut it.

That may have been too harsh. Sorry. But you get it.
